The band Florence and the Machine is expected to return to the stage with a gig in Burnaby, British Columbia.


The band was forced to cancel several concerts due to the lead singer's vocal injury. Vocalist Florence Welch was ordered to refrain from singing for at least a week in order to recover.


The Grammy winners cancelled their performances at the Optimus Alive Music and Arts Festival in Lisbon and the Benicassim Festival in Spain.


The band members have expressed their sincere apologies for the cancellations.
