Mladic trial resumes after health condition interruption

The trial of former Bosnian Serb army chief Ratko Mladic continues after it was interrupted on July 12, when the defendant was taken to a hospital following his complaints concerning his health.
Mladic has had health problems for years and during his years on the run, which ended with his arrest in May 2011, he suffered two strokes.
After his hospitalization last week, the former army general, who is charged with eleven counts of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, spent 24 hours under careful observation.
The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) resumed Mladic's trial on June 9, after it was adjourned due to mistakes committed by the prosecutors in May.
