CIA and Pakistani intelligence service meet

Director of CIA, David Petraeus, and his counterpart from the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Zaheerul Islam, meet to discuss issues relating to the countries' counter-terrorism cooperation.
Islam will also raise the issue of the US drone attacks on Pakistani territory. Unconfirmed reports say that the ISI Director wants to discuss the possibility of a transfer of the drone technology and capacity building of Pakistan's military.
The meeting between the CIA and ISI is the first high-level intelligence contact between the US and Pakistan in more than a year.
The two countries officially renewed their contact following Pakistan's unblocking of NATO supply routes to Afghanistan in early July. Pakistan shut its border with Afghanistan to NATO in November 2011 after NATO airstrikes on Pakistan's border posts killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
