The official sale process of the 4G bandwidth for mobile phones by the Telecoms regulator Ofcom begins.
Bidding begins around the beginning of 2013 and people would be able to use the services later in the same year.
The auction is meant to sell the different parts of the radio spectrum (80 percent more than the 3G release in 2000) in order to support the future 4G mobile network ensuring clients can download anything from videos to music much faster than before.
Rumoured operators include Hutchinson 3G, Everything Everywhere (Orange and T-Mobile), Vodafone and Telefonica (O2).
