Wikipedia-Matthias Rose...
Oxford University's academic dress code, which was earlier considered to be unfair to transgender students, is changed.

According to the new dress code, the university's male students can sit exams in skirts and female students can wear suits and ties, as the code does not require them to wear uniforms specific to their gender.

The new code was laid down after a motion was put forward by Oxford's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer society (LGBTQ Soc).

Before the code was changed, transgender students had to apply for exemption from exam proctors to wear clothes associated with the opposite gender.

The university's decision sets precedent in the education world, with possible implications for uniformed schools across the UK, where so far students must still wear gender specific school uniforms.
