Prague raises Jan Palach monument

The monument will comprise two six-meter high statues, a white figure of the son as a torchbearer and a dark figure of his suffering mother.
It will be situated at Alešovo Nábreží, the Vltava embankment near the centre of the city, which already bears Palach's name.
The project was created by late US sculptor John Hejduk, who presented it to Czechoslovakia in 1991.
