Easyjet increases its presence at Manchester Airport by adding a seventh plane to its fleet and creating 120 jobs in the process. The move is an attempt to increase the number of business passengers passing through the "gateway to the north".
Denying the claims that low budget airlines only bring short-term benefits to new hubs, Easyjet chief executive Carolyn McCall said "we do not go in and out of airports, we commit to them over the long term and that is what we intend to do at Manchester".
Easyjet will fly to over 26 destinations from its Manchester base.
