General Motors (GM), the Detroit based automotive corporation and world largest car manufacturer, launches a 5-year investment plan of $1 billion to expand cars and components production in Russia.


The current production sites of GM in the country, which are located in St. Petersburg, Togliatti and Kaliningrad,  will see an increase of their capacity with the new investment.


Russia is considered one of the most important growing automotive markets on a global scale.
