The mandate for the United Nations Integrated Peace-Building Office in Guinea-Bissau (UNIOGBIS) expires. 


UNIOGBIS was established by the UN Security Council with resolution 1876, in 2009. Its main tasks are to help the government of Guinea-Bissau with effective law enforcement, combating human trafficking, drug trafficking and organized crime, and stabilizing the country. 


In March 2009, Guinea-Bissau's President João Bernardo Vieira was assassinated by the army, and in 2010 the EU withdrew aid in protest against the appointment of Antonio Indjai as Army Chief of Staff. Indjai was suspected of involvement in cocaine trafficking, which is rife in the country.
