Samsung launches its Galaxy S4 smartphone. The device was expected initially at the World Mobile Congress, the world class event held every year in the Catalan capital.


Samsung's Galaxy S4 smartphone is seen by industry experts as the rival of Apple's iPhone 5, launched on September 12, 2012. 


It is speculated that the new device will feature a 5-inch screen and run on Android. Additionally, the smartphone is rumored to be able to support LTE networks for 4G mobile broadband.


The new Samsung smartphone is expected to be made available in April.
