Carlos Santana is expected to perform at a music festival in Sinquerim, Goa. The announcement was made by Dilip Parulekar, the state's tourism minister.  


Mexican-born musician Carlos Santana is one of the greatest guitarists of all time according to Rolling Stone Magazine. Hits such as Black magic woman, Smooth, Maria Maria and numerous collaborations have brought Santana worldwide fame and a steady following. 


Goa authorities hope that performances by highly esteemed musicians will help the region attract more tourists. 


Santana is scheduled to release his autobiography in January 2014.
