Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton joins Mercedes after signing a three-year deal with the German squad.
The move did not come as a surprise since McLaren, Lewis' team, had already announced to have signed a multi-year deal with Mexican up-and-coming driver Sergio Perez. At Mercedes Hamilton will drive alongside Nico Rosberg.
The British-born racing driver made his Formula 1 debut in 2007 at McLaren. However, the racer sees his departure as a step forward in his career and called the transfer a "fresh challenge".
