Indian American Republican politician Bobby Jindal, who has been tipped as the next GOP presidential candidate, is expected to head the Republican Governors Association (RGA).
According to Times-Picayune, New Orleans' daily newspaper, the move is expected to provide Jindal as well as up-and-coming politician Chris Christie with access to the GOP network of donors and prepare the way for his prospective presidential candidature.
The current chairman of the (RGA) is Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell. Jindal won another term as Louisiana governor following the 2011 elections and occupies the position of Gala Chairman of the Republican Governors Association.
