The murder trial of George Zimmerman, charged with the second degree murder of seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin, is set to begin. The case has been the cause of numerous civil rights rallies across the US.  


Zimmerman shot the unarmed African-American teenager while he was walking through a gated Sanford community on the way to his father's house. According to Zimmerman, he was acting out of self defense.


Attorney in the case expect the trial to be over within three weeks.
