Egypt's court hears Interior Ministry clashes case

The trial of 33 defendants accused of burning the Real Estate Tax Authority building and attempting to break into the Interior Ministry building early this year resumes.
The case was adjourned in mid October as the court was awaiting a list of the names of defendants as requested by President Mohamed Morsi's amnesty law. According to the law, the public prosecutor or the military prosecutor must provide a list of the defendants' names whose charges relate to protests during the revolution. Those who are on the list are entitled to a pardon, which Morsi issued in early October.
In February, more than 17 protesters were killed and thousands were injured in clashes between demonstrators and security forces near the Ministry of Interior in protest against the Port Said Massacre.
