A collection of over 4,300 pre-World War II posters is to go on sale.
The posters were seized from their original owner Hans Sachs by the Gestapo in 1938 on the orders of Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels who wanted them to be displayed in a new museum wing dedicated to "business art".
A German dentist who fled Nazi Germany after having escaped from a concentration camp, Sachs is widely regarded as the first serious poster collector.
According to the president of Guernsey's auction house Arlan Ettinger, the collection is "formidable, wonderful and historically important". He added Sachs "had great taste and an extremely keen eye for remarkable graphics".
