The world's biggest online marketplace eBay partners with Chinese online retailer Xiu.com and launches a localized shopping portal, eBay Style.
The move, which comes amid profit slump in developed nations, aims to boost eBay sales in the country with the biggest internet market in the world.
According to the company's vice president Melanie Tan, "Chinese consumers are increasingly coming to eBay and we have seen a 40 percent year on year increase of goods bought by Chinese consumers navigating eBay.com in English."
"We believe that in the future Chinese consumers will use eBay as a passport to global Fashion styles, especially for leading women's brands and accessories, and menswear," Tan added.
