Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini is to loan Mario Balotelli, one of the team's strikers, to Serie A team AC Milan.


The Premier League team have previously ruled out a loan in an attempt to save funds towards buying new players during the transfer season. Radamel Falcao and Luis Suarez of Liverpool are but two of the names mentioned in connection to the team's acquisition plans.


After critics gave negative reviews to Balotelli's performance, it has been speculated that Manchester City might sell the player, possibly to AC Milan. However, Mancini has played down the rumors on numerous occasions. 


Before joining the Premier League club in 2010, Balotelli played for Internazionale Milan, AC Milan's arch-rivals.
