The Majorana Prize is awarded annually by the Electronic Journal of Theoretical Physics (EJTP) to recognize outstanding contributions to theoretical physics and mathematical physics.


The Majorana Prize is awarded in three categories:


-Best Person in Physics (Outstanding Contributions to  Physics)

-Best EJTP Special Issue Paper

-Best EJTP Paper.


The prize is named for Italian physicist Ettore Majorana (1906-1938), a pioneer in neutrino physics and the quantum mechanics of spin.
