The first female Olympic boxing champion Katie Taylor returns to action.

The Irish 26-year-old boxer makes her competitive return at a fight in her home country. The organizers of the competition announced that she will have a top-class international competitor.

"It felt like Irish fans took over the arena for my fights at the Olympics so it is great people will have a chance to see me on home soil," Taylor said.

After winning the gold medal at the first Olympic women's lightweight boxing competition at the 2012 Games in London, Taylor decided to continue boxing as an amateur.

However, she will still keeps the option of boxing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
