Cypriot President Demetris Christofias travels to Beirut to discuss the demarcation of maritime borders with Lebanese officials. 

Christofias will reportedly seek to reach a new agreement on the division of Exclusive Economic Zones between Cyprus and its two neighbors, Lebanon and Israel. 


The president is expected to attempt to negotiate a settlement between Lebanon and Israel over a disputed 850-square-kilometer area in the Mediterranean Sea.
