Protests over economic hardships are set to take place in Malawi.
The demonstrations have been organised by the Consumer Association of Malawi (Cama) and will take place in three different regions: the north, centre and south.
Cama spokesman Kingsley Mabalani said that the demonstrations will converge in the south, where a petition will be presented to the District Commissioner.
While Mabalani did not disclose the seven-point petition in detail, he said that it demands that the government addresses consumer based problems amid rising inflation and the escalated cost of living in the country.
