Puerto Rico to activate National Guard

Puerto Rico is to activate the National Guard to help prevent drugs and weapon smuggling following the Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla's executive order on January 4, which was his first in the position.
The soldiers will be stationed in ports and airports across the US territory of Puerto Rico to enhance security.
The National Guard, which is the component of US National Guard, was last activated in February 2010 for one year to help Puerto Rico fight rising crime.
