Chinese state councilor and defense minister Liang Guanglie is to hold talks with top Slovenian, Macedonian and Ukrainian leaders during his visits to the three European countries. The invitations were extended by the Chinese minister's counterpart in Slovenia, Ales Hojs, Macedonia, Fatmir Besimi and Ukraine, Pavlo Lebedyev.


The minister is accompanied by a delegation comprising several officials of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). Assistant to the director of the General Political Department (GPD) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Cui Changjun, Zhong Zhiming, deputy commander of the Shenyang Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA and Wu Changhai, director of the Political Department of the PLA Nanjing MAC are just some of the top army officials included in the minister's delegation.


Liang Guanglie is a general in the People's Liberation Army of China and was appointed as the country's minister of defense in March 2008.
