South Sudan is to complete the withdrawal of its troops from its border with Sudan. 


The retreat makes it possible to create a buffer zone between the two African nations, following years of conflict.


"By withdrawing its forces...the government of South Sudan is clearly demonstrating its full compliance with the signed security agreements and full commitment to their implementation", a statement issued by South Sudan read.
