Football star Franck Ribery is set to stand trial for having sex with an 'underage prostitute he hired as a birthday present'.


The Bayern Munich midfielder has been charged after flying the girl, who was 17, to a hotel room in Germany.


Ribery confessed to having sex with Zahia Dehar but denies he knew she was underage.


Although the legal age of consent in France is 15, 18 is the minimum age to work as a prostitute.


The trial comes after he and his national teammate Karim Benzema were charged with solicitation in August 2012.
