American pop legend Tina Turner gives up her US passport and is set to obtain Swiss citizenship after she passed a civic test and interview in late January. 


Turner has been living in Switzerland since 1995. "I'm very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. ... I cannot imagine a better place to live," said the star. 


The 73-year-old singer of hits such as Simply the Best and What's Love Got to Do With It? lives in the town of Kuesnacht, on the shores of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland.
