A documentary about the founders of the controversial file-sharing site debuts at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival.
The film titled TPB AFK, which stands for "The Pirate Bay Away From Keyboard," tells the story of Fredik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg and Peter Sunde, founders of popular file-sharing site The Pirate Bay.
The filmmakers are also planning to release the documentary online under a Creative Commons license, which will allow others to share and use the film in their own works for free. No exact date for its online debut was given.
The 82-minute film starts as the appeal trial of the founders
of the website is set to begin, on charges of copyright
infringement brought by Swedish prosecutors.
