The chief executive of Finnair Mika Vehvilaeinen is expected to leave
his post, the company announced on January 28.
The confirmation came two weeks after rumours had surfaced in the media about his departure.
The confirmation came two weeks after rumours had surfaced in the media about his departure.
Vehvilaeinen helped bringing the struggling airline to profit in the first nine months of 2012 after two years in the red.
He is leaving to take over as the head of cargo handling equipment group Cargotec. Ville Iho, chief operating officer, is promoted to be deputy CEO and will lead Finnair until a new CEO has been appointed.
