Chinese companies are expected to increase investment in Europe, which is reportedly seen as more welcoming than the US.
The move was announced in late January following the release of a report completed by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. The report said that one in three companies surveyed sees Europe as "more open" than the US. Europe is believed to have "little history of opposition" to Chinese investment.
Last year, some businesses in the US have been blocked on security grounds.
