Paris' Notre Dame expects nine new bronze bells to give the medieval cathedral a more modern sound.
The bells, weighing 23 tons altogether, have been named after saints. Most of them were cast in a foundry in the Normandy town of Villedieu.
The new bells are part of celebrations marking 850 years since the beginning of Notre Dame's construction in 1163.
