Deadline for speed governors instalments in Bhopal school buses -

It is the final day for school buses in Bhopal to be fitted with speed governors, under a mandate by the divisional commissioner.


Under the mandate, 50% of the buses were to be installed with speed governors by January 30, with the other half provided with today's deadline.


The aim of the scheme is to protect schoolchildren from reckless bus driving. The commissioner stated that buses which exceed the 40kmph limit would have thier permit and fitness certificates revoked, and would not be granted permits in future.
