A member of the Nigerian Parliament, Farouk Lawan, is set to appear at a bail hearing after he was charged with corruption.
On February 1, Lawan pleaded not guilty in court and was taken into custody.
Lawan headed an inquiry that found that a fuel subsidy scam had cost the country $6.8 billion (£4.2 billion). He allegedly collected $500,000 of a $3 million bribe solicited from an oil tycoon to drop his company from the investigation.
