Court rules on Belgian paedophile Marc Dutroux early release plea

A Belgium court rules on the early release plea of the country's most notorious convicted paedophile and murderer Marc Dutroux.
Dutroux put forward his case for early release under electronic surveillance at a hearing in Brussels on February 4.
The criminal was convicted of abducting, imprisoning and raping six girls in the mid-1990s and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2004.
In January 2013, Dutroux filed a request for a prison leave. His request was, however, rejected as the risk that he would commit a crime again was too great.
