The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is to hold demonstrations in six
locations across the country in protest against the country’s €64 billion
bank debt burden.
General Secretary David Begg said the bank debt threatened the well-being of future generations.
The 9 February demonstrations, with the theme "Lift the Burden: Jobs Not Debt," will take place
in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and Sligo.
