Serbia's Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi and his Kosovan counterpart Ivica Dačić meet for a new round of reconciliation talks under EU auspices.


The talks follow the first ever meeting of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić and Kosovo leader Atifete Jahjaga on February 6. According to EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, the historic encounter was "open and constructive". 


Both sides "assured me of their continued support and commitment," continued Ashton. "I reaffirmed the European perspective for both Serbia and Kosovo and encouraged both sides to continue with the efforts needed for further progress towards the European Union."
