Adviser Marilyn Tavenner could become head of US Medicare and Medicaid Services

President Barack Obama's top healthcare adviser Marilyn Tavenner could become the head of the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) following her nomination for the post on February 7.
Tavenner has served as an acting administrator of the agency of US Department of Health and Human Services since 2011.
If confirmed by the Senate, the health care specialist will become the first official head of the CMS since 2006.
