Bandai, one of the world's biggest toy producers, is re-launching the popular 90's game Tamagotchi as a mobile application.  


The virtual pet game was first released in 1996 and proved to be popular, selling more than 70 million units by 2010. Tamagotchi L.i.f.e, as the application is called, is made available for iOS and Android services to be obtained through Google Play or the App Store. 


The application includes a 'retro mode' with gameplay features similar to the original 90's Tamagotchi's. In addition, the app also includes several themes that players can unlock and the updated mode of play allows the option to save one's progress.
