German Chancellor Angela Merkel pays an official visit to Turkey to meet with the country's President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.


Besides bilateral relations, the leaders discuss Turkey's full membership in the European Union and developments in Syrian crisis and Patriot missiles installed along Turkey's 900-kilometer-long border with Syria. 


Along with Merkel, German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich and members of a German Parliament commission, set up to investigate far-right murders, arrive in Turkey for an official visit.
