The Vice President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Ahmed Bilalov may be dismissed following a decision made by the country's President Vladimir Putin.


On February 7, it was announced that Putin had ordered the dismissal of Bilalov. The measure was allegedly taken following a two-day inspection conducted by Putin at the Olympic facilities of Sochi, during which he criticized functionaries responsible for the construction of Russkiye Gorki.
