Specialists from the Russian Federal Service for the Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare are scheduled to travel to Georgia to inspect companies that
plan to export wine and mineral water to the Russian market.
The experts' visit to Georgia, which was originally set for mid-February, was rescheduled due to a disagreement over the list of wineries.
Georgian wine and mineral water exports to Russia were suspended in 2006 amid tensions in Russian-Georgian relations. The official reason cited was the low quality of Georgian wines.
