Singapore is the first country where the HTC One, HTC's latest Android smartphone, becomes available for purchase. The original date was set to early March but was delayed in the last moment.
The device boasts "the best audio experience of any mobile phone" due to the HTC BoomSound, which incorporates two front-facing stereo speakers in addition to an audio beats integration and dual-microphone HDR recording option.
The 4.7-inch LCD display with 1080 resolution incorporates the HTC One's state-of-the-art camera capabilities, which revolve around a custom developed imaging sensor that absorbs three times as much light as an 8-megapixel camera. Multi-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) is also included.
In addition, the HTC One includes an expanded photo editing suite that captures 5 frames before the shutter is pressed, plus another 15 frames after, in addition to recording a 3-second video clip, providing users with the ability to create amateur stop-motion animations.
The smartphone provides 4G connectivity, a processing core running at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and 2300mAh battery. Finally, the power and locking button on the top also doubles as an IR emitter, meaning that the smartphone can be used as a remote control.
