Sony releases its new PlayStation 4 (PS4), the DualShock 4, following the console's launch at an event in New York on February 20.


The PS4 is Sony's first new game console since the PlayStation 3 release in 2006. It will use an x86 processor, and enhanced PS graphics card and 8GB of RAM.


The new Sony console will not play PS3 games because of the new CPU architecture.
