Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court rules on the legality of the upper house of parliament, the Shura Caouncil.
The ruling against the legality of the Muslim Brotherhood-led chamber could lead to the dissolution of the Council. The legislative power would subsequently be transferred to President Mohammed Morsi.
The court is also poised to vote on the validity of the Islamist-dominated constitutional assembly, which drafted Egypt's new national charter in December last year.
