The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is a free, public festival celebrating literature in all its distinguished form.

Initiated in 1996, the annual festival features vendors, authors and publishers made possible through the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).


Due to budget issues, the festival was moved from the UCLA to the University of Southern California (USC) campus grounds in 2010.
