The Sydney Writers' Festival is a literary festival held annually in the Australian city of Sydney.
Initiated in 1997, the festival has increased in popularity since being held in the State Library of New South Wales until 2003 which saw its expansion into more locations around Sydney.
Attendance is known to top 65,000 with over 300 participants every year while entry is still believed to be free of charge.
