The Armory Show, New York's largest art fair, takes place every year in Piers 92 and 94 along the Hudson river on Manhattan's west side.
The annual art exhibition is a leading international contemporary event, headlining female artists in this year's show with "Venus Drawn Out: 20th Century Drawings by Great Women Artists."
The name is derived the first international exhibition of modern art that was organized by the Association of American Painters and Sculptors in 1913, which took place on the 69th Regiment Armory, a historical building located on Lexington Avenue and used to house the 69th Infantry Regiment.
The event acts as a showpiece for some of the world's most important modern and contemporary art galleries and is one of the principal annual art events in the international arts market calendar.
