The Electronic Entertainment Expo is an annual trade fair for the computer and video games industry.
Commonly known as the 'E3', it serves as a platform for developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware.
Presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), it is considered to be the most extravagant exposition to host all game related software and hardware.
In some annual editions, exclusive 'E3 awards' are presented for the most outstanding achievements in the business.
First held in 1995, attendance usually tops the 40,000 visitor mark with many sections of the exhibition grounds accessible by 'invite only'.
