Queen Elizabeth II Birthday

Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states, also knows as the Commonwealth realms, was born in 1926 in London.

Additionally, Elizabeth II is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

Her Majesty's coronation was on 2 June 1953 after her father's death in 1952.

The Queen married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1947. They have four children: Edward, Andrew, Anne and Charles.

Elizabeth is the second-longest reigning British monarch after Queen Victoria.
