BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall
The BBC Proms, or simply The Proms, is an eight-week summer season of daily classical music concerts and many more other related events. The Proms are held annually mostly in Royal Albert Hall, South Kensington, London, but also in London's Cadogan Hall and several parks throughout the whole country.
Proms originate for "promenade concerts", a series of outdoor concerts held in London's pleasure gardens and where the audience was free to stroll around while the orchestra was playing.
